i buried the two of them next to each other, and made a gravestone out of their little plastic running ball. I'll plant sunflowers on top in about a week.

The significance of the sunflowers is that they LOOVED sunflower seeds. Seriously, LOOOVED. They couldn't get enough!! So, yeah, I thought...

Aww, well that's really sweet.

I'm a lil blue because I have no money and now I can't go see The Producers on tuesday night. And today I missed the Shakespeare birthday party and performance of Macbeth because I'm busted. And I was actually gonna get out with my friends for once.

my grandpa's really sick. like, REALLY sick. My dad's really worried about him, and he lives in Florida, so it's gonna be really hard for us to visit him.
Oh, God. I don't think I'd be able to handle him dying too. I don't want to graduate HS without a grandpa!! And he hasta meet my first real boyfriend! He's ALWAYS like, "you got a boyfriend yet?" "No, grandpa." "Well, why not, there aren't any nice boys??" "No, gramps, there are some nice ones" "Well, hurry up then. I wanna see you get married, and I'm not getting any younger!" LOL. I love him. MY grandmas so tense, and uptight, and strict and NEVER STOPS TALKING, but my grandpa is funny and laidback and quiet. I don't think I'd be able to stand visiting her without my grandpa. Oh God. I REALLY hope he's okay. I love him.

^I'm sorry, I hope he's okay too. I lost my grandpa about a year and a half ago, and I'm still not completely over it. Grandpas are wonderful, aren't they? I absolutely adored mine. And my dad isn't on speaking terms with his dad (for a really horrible and ugly reason) so he was my only grandpa. I only have one grandparent left - my grandma. And a step-grandpa who's pretty awesome. But yeah, I just got completely off-topic... but yes, I hope he's alright. Just have high hopes... I'll have you in my thoughts.

I saw your posts Sarah and I'm so sorry for your gerbil. I lost my beautiful cat James a few years ago and I said to my family that I would never have another one. After two years a lovely red pussycat came in a gift-box. On a note was written "This little darling will cheer you up". He is still here, sitting right beside me, and he's marvellous.

What your grandpa concerns, I will pray for him. I hope from the bottom of my heart that he will be better soon.

Today, I did something for a person and I instead of a 'thank you', she snapped at my face. I wasn't expecting gratitude cause I know she 's unfriendly. But I wasn't prepared for nasty words either. I didn't deserve them.
I knew my hubby would say 'I told you, let that woman be'... but I was not in the mood for his words. So I took a time out and went to my room, and listened to the BBM score. The music brought me back to the mountain top... way up on Brokeback.... and in my mind I saw Jack kissing Ennis very tenderly... and I felt much better.

*CRIES* (literally)

I just lost my dog... my best friend. She wasn't even 4 years old yet. Last night she wasn't acting herself... kind of lumbering around, walking slowly. We brought her to the animal hospital to get her checked out and they said her back might be hurting her, or her stomach. We made an appointment with our normal vet for today at 5:30.

Today when I woke up, (I was alone in my house, I'm in college so I had a few hours to kill before class started at 330) I heard her cry a little at my door. I opened it, and she kind of backed up into the hallway and sat down. She then couldn't get up. Her legs were paralyzed. I called my mom immediately and she rushed home.. I had to leave for school.

Next thing I know I'm on the bus coming home, and my dad calls, literally HYSTERICAL. I've never heard him cry like that. He said they had to put her to sleep. She ruptured a disc in her spine which put shards of bone into her spinal cord and she was paralyzed... even if she had surgery (which would have been $6000) she probably wouldn't have been able to walk again. She was in so much pain. It just kills me. This dog was literally my best friend. I haven't stopped crying since 5:30 when it happened. I'm so upset.

What a sad story, I feel very sorry for you hun. Don't be ashamed to cry, I did that too when I lost my cat. It's such a pity animals friends don't live that long, we have to say good-bye all the time. It's not fair.
But... time to grieve now i wuv jakey. In a few days you'll feel much better, I'm sure. And then, you will have the most beautiful memories of her cause she will always be in your heart.

Aww I just read about your gerbil. I'm so sorry!

Yeah, I'm glad she's not in pain anymore... I just wish it didn't have to happen and that it wasn't so sudden... maybe if I could have expected it a little bit it wouldn't hurt quite as much. I'm sure it'd still be devastating but I never would have forseen this. Ugh. =(

Harley seemed to be a very lovely doggy i wuv jakey, such a beautiful eyes. These are very nice pictures of her.
Thanks for sharing.

Loosing an animal friend suddenly or after a certain time, it doesn't matter... it hurts like hell in both cases. So take your time to grief sweetie... you need that.

For all the Gyllenhaalics who lost a dear animal friend:
I'm so sorry for you guys, but the thing is... the fact that you cry and feel sorrow for them means that your darlings were loved by you. What more can an animal ask for. Always remember that, okay.

Love ya all!
