More then a month ago, I broke two teeth in my upper jaw... which held a fixed bridge. I was eating chicken and I accidentally bit on a bone. So I went to the dentist who was going to fix my (rather expensive) problem. Don't worry, he said, we will close that gap by using implants.
Almost every second day I went to my dentist. Each time I came back with more toothache. At the moment, I would like to smack my head against the wall... as painkillers don't work anymore. I should be in bed right now (it's almost 3:00 am here) but I can't sleep. Can't even close my mouth without pain. Tomorrow (Saturday that is), is my following appointment. And I'm afraid he's not sure anymore what the final result will be after the many treatments.
I will turn to booze now to make this pain more bearable. Arrrg!

Oh Sheila, I just read your post, you poor thing, there is nothing as bad as toothache, I have had my fair share, you posted over a week ago now, hope things are a lot better, please let me know? and I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying you are OK

let me tell you of tooth aches....and TMJ ....not a fun deal...great diet though ...i got me some bad a** teeth..from grinding to fix tmj my insurance no insurance wont fix it for its cosmetic...beat the heck out of me when a jaw is out of its socket is considered cosmetic...soooo it would cost over 2000 just to fix it..then i need all my teeth pulled out then i need fakers...UGh..i never took care of them...

im jealous my hubby just got his fakers for the top back and for all his bottoms....i cant for if i do my jaw will snap out even more...so hopefully we can get it fixed next tax season...(insurance pays for fakers not jaw issues )

Sheilah i feel for ya i do..i live with constant pain. ..

* i read all the crap the internet has provided to "cure" this... and it dont work..i seen my jaw socket and they are OUT i need to have a seriouse operation...

look up Tmj and checkout thepics...that me..snapped out long time ago...but now its worse...

Aw, how sweet Olivia. Thanks for your sympathy.
I went back to my dentist because the pain became totally unbearable. He said I had a serious tooth inflammation, and then he prescribed me some antibiotics. One day later, half of my face was swollen and it stayed that way for almost one week. I could hardly speak.
The pain is gone now but my appointments to the dentist will resume. I'm afraid he will hurt me more. I'm usually not afraid to go to a dentist but now I am.

Thank you too Zoe,
I'm so sorry for your misfortune. Pain can ruin someone's life eh.
Insurance companies have the tendency to ignore the healthy part of the problem eh. You should tell them, when you can't eat properly you will become sick. That's a serious argument, don't you think.
They rather say it's a cosmetic problem so they don't have to pay you. Can't you ask some advise somewhere. At a lawyer maybe? There must be people who can help you with this... I dunno the American system.
Anyway... I feel for you too Zoe. And I hope one day you'll find a solution.

I broke my tooth last Thursday evening and I could not get it fixed until Monday because of the 4th of July holiday weekend. I got in there yesterday so it looks better. Of course, it was a front tooth.

Ouch! What a bad timing for a broken tooth.
Did I start something here? Were you trying to sympathize with my misfortune by doing the same? LOL

Yeah, I think I could have picked a better time. It was the plastic that was molded on to a front tooth in 2004. The tooth was broken when someone decided to punch the gay boy in the face. The police did not catch him but I don't think they really cared to look. Unfortunately, the memory came back with the broken tooth.

ouch, i hope it is better soon. i sympatize cuz i have to see the foot specialist Monday, actually a neurologist. an old injury is back to haunt me
so i feel like crap and i don't really want to be a year older later this week cuz i feel old enuf now, thank you very much, and all my friends seem A LOT younger but then many of them are. a childhood friend is mad at me for telling him something I should have told him years ago, i guess. you know those people who say that if they could do things over they would do things just the same way? what a load of crap, the list of things I would change, if I could, would fill the board. i guess i'll go listen to some sad country western music now

Rich,

You shouldn't be sorry now for the things you didn't say years ago. It won't change anything anyhow. The only result will be that you start listening to some sad country western music while feeling depressed.
If it would be possible to turn the clock back many of us presumably would do things exactly the same way. What I mean is... give your friend the time to absorb the things you told him. If he is a real pal, he will eventually understand your silence all these years.
Btw... if you listen to the BBM score... enjoy it! I always do.

^I love the BBM score but I find it a bit sad because so much of it reminds me of what happens to Jack and now I also think of the early loss of Heath. Those two things together make it pretty much impossible. I used to watch BBM every now and then and I watched it countless times when I first got it. I don't think there is enough tissue in the house to watch it now tho.
