I haven't seen many problems on here but I'm not on here each day as I used to be so I may be missing something too.

One thing I pointed out though in the 10,000 members thing though, is that probably the majority of people who joined this site only did it to spam the member list.

They never post anything and will sometimes sign up with multiple screen names. It happens on every forum though, it's just really annoying.

Yeah but he was more into guys. He could be with a woman but was never really into it or cared.

I went through the member list a few times and I came to the same conclusion JSrocks. I know for a fact that I'm twice on that list. I registered and something went wrong... I couldn't log in. So I thought, let's start all over with a slightly different name... et voilˆ... here I am.
I should have mentioned it to Stephanie or Ally but they both have such a busy lives. I tried to delete my false username but I can't access.
Maybe some of the members experienced the same problem.. .donno. Some of the 'so to speak' members might have had less honourable intentions, like you said. They might have registered only to do some peeping around. Maybe one of them is our Jakey. Wishful thinking.

You are right, he slept with Lureen only to hide his love for a man... in this case Ennis.
Ennis on the other hand was certainly a bi, b/c Annie Proulx described his words in her short story like this: "I like doin' it with woman.....".
But eh! In this Off Topic Thread I got off the subject. It was all about our dear mrs.donniedarko, aka mrs.jacknasty.
Hi Sarah, howdy!!!! Hihihi.

I looked back, and, DAMN, I couldn't find the Writing thread!!!!
Anyway. I decided to try and take another whack at writing a song. I know it's pretty crap, but I think it's okay considering I haven't written in a while, and I always find it really hard to like....describe myself....much less ALL TEENAGERS....and I'm no good at rhyming...but I think you guys might enjoy this:

We’re nostalgic bout the last 13 years
when the next 13 has hardly begun
we’re gonna have ourselves some FUN

We wanna get to high school fast fast fast
Slam on the gas
Kick us some ASS

Yeah, we’re so damn moody,
Can’t you see?
You got a problem, don’t you take it up with me

MOM, YOU’RE RUINING MY LIFE
You fill me with strife
I wanna go
Let me fall, let me grow

Just us young teenagers
Seems we face the world alone
Sometimes I don’t think we can make it on our own

We’re nostalgic bout the last 13 years
When the next 13 has hardly begun
We’re gonna have ourselves some FUN

Ugh, I KNOW. I was just thinking, I can't believe freshman year is almost over already, seems like just yesterday I was in 8th grade...decided to write a song about it...no matter how much HS sucks, I've gotta say, at least it's better than MS!!!

Oh yes Sarah, I enjoyed your lyric very much.

Why don't you post a poem about Jake Gyllenhaal in the Gyllenhaalics section?
If you write song texts so beautifully, you might surprise yourself when writing a Jake poem.... Sheila said so.

I have a suddenlaunch board too and from the help that I got on the moderator's board, usually the obvious spammers will have email addresses that look like...

something@mail.ru
something@someplace.com

It's very annoying. I went through on my board and deleted and banned the ones I knew were spammers.

A good trick to do is type in the screennames as they appear in a search engine, and if the searches come up with forum after forum with that username and they haven't posted a thing on the forums, then they're a spammer. And they're the same forums that come up for all the names that are just trying to spam the member list. So it's not like I'd be deleting just anyone b/c they joined other forums.

Well with over 10,000 members on this board, it would be too late and too hard to sift through and get the spammers out. But I guess that's just part of having a board. The good people will be there as well as the annoying ones (spammers). It can all be stopped only to an extent b/c they'll just keep coming.

LOL, Sheila, thanks!

But, I feel like...for example, I doodle ALL THE TIME, but I would NEVER try to draw jake, cuz i couldnt get anywhere NEAR his perfection...so if I try to write a poem on Jake, I'm afraid I'll just dissapoint myself, cuz I won't be able to DESCRIBE him, and I don't wanna be discouraged....but if I feel really inspired one day, I'll do it. Just for you.

I don't get it why spammers register in as many forums as possible. What do they gain with it... or do I miss something here?

It's an easy way for spammers to find email addresses and send spam.

They also just join to clutter up the member list so it's hard to tell who the true members are who are actually there for the right reasons.

Other than that, there is no point for them to join.

There's no point at all for spamming a mem list but idiots still waste their lives away by doing it.

Thanks for the explanation. Silly me, I should have guessed. Weirdos!!!

Wouldn't it be possible to automatically select the members who didn't post within a year, and then delete them? Maybe this function isn't available at Suddenlaunch, or other web hosts. Where are the programmers......

Probably another silly question eh.

Nice Saturday you all.
