It keeps booting me for some reason. It's really annoying when I go to reply to something and then it comes up with an error that says guests can't reply. ugh

That's it! couldn't find the page, thx
I'll attach a post so it moves it back to the top because I can't tell what page it is on and I don't want to go through Chit Chat again. I hope it brings the thread back to life.

Oh please, don't be sorry! I'm glad someone else likes him too, anyone's welcome to answer!

That's exactly the reason I loved Commodus, too! At first, you see him as a nasty, decieving person, with little or no heart and sets out to have things his own way, regardless of his family. And although he might be those things, he does have a soft side, which I really love. He's afraid of the dark, he wanted his father to love him and live up to him, is afraid of battle... all of these things make up who he is and that's what I love about him.

I know exactly what you mean, he is an incredible actor! For me, it was hard to remember that he is an actor playing a character, he portrayed him so well. I could really believe that he was real and he brought the film to life. I've yet to see him in any other films, but along with Jake movies, that's one of my goals.

Oh, you HAVE to see Walk the line! He IS Johnny Cash in that one. And I also recomend Quills with Geoffrey Rush, Joaquin is really really good in that one too. What the heck, he's good in all f his movies, lol.
You go out and rent some of his flicks, girl. He's a natural talent

It's funny, I've heard so much about Walk the Line, and yet I've never seen it. Will be doing now, and Quills, of course!

And I'm sorry to hear that, Nikkita... I know how that feels!

Allennd (I shortened the quote and unfortunately I deleted the original introduction line, too, sorry):

In my case, this is not only my personal opinion or comment... but I know a lot of straight guys who go out with other men and feel so comfortable about it (Of course, they won't admit it publicaly... the ego and macho thing don't let them!). My best friend is gay and all his dates, relantionships, romances etc... have been with straight men (weird, huh?! but it's true and by the way... these men are not gay, they do love women (sexualy etc). Real complicated to explain and also hard to understand). Even some married men have secret affairs. Me on the other hand I'm so different from my friend (two worlds apart), I'm not interested in straight guys or wanting to have a relantionship with them (in fact, I don't get along with them that much... I'm sorry, but most of them are jerks). But again, you don't chose who you fall in love with and sometimes you can get in some trouble.

Being gay is only your sexual orientation (Has nothing to do with wanting to be a woman or all those stereotypes that so many have in their minds).

I forgot to mention this and it is also very sad, but... my friend's ex-boyfriend wanted to move in with him and live together (even though he was straight and have never experienced a relationship with another guy before... He just fell for my friend. The tragic is that he was killed and he was only 19 (some people have it all and just let it go like my friend did, this guy loved him).
[/quote]

At first I just want to say that I feel really sorry for your friend. Sometimes life's sooo tragical and it somehow angers to see that mostly people are concerned by sad moments who just do not deserve it.

I totally believe you when you are saying that you know lots of gay guys dating straight men who actually seem to like women. You know, in my opinion those "straight" men who never would date other guys publicaly are not really straight. To me they are more like bisexual than straight. It rather seems to me that they are afraid of admitting themselves that they might be homo- or bisexual. Maybe I'm totally wrong but I don't know any person in such a situation. However, I do know quite many gay men but they "know" that they are gay and that they never would fall in love with a women (btw they don't want to be women either).

Besides you are definitely right by saying you never know who you fall in love with but mostly, you'll have to admit, it's somehow predetermined to whom you loose your heart. Of course, there might occur the opposite, too, e.g. the gender of your next lover or just the colour of his hair. But isn't even this uncertainty about what will come next what makes love so exciting?

Oh, and sorry for this long text but I just wanted to express what is on my mind right now.

Don't worry, I like to read a lot... about the sexuality issue, sometimes a lot factors have to do with a person falling in love with another of the same sex. Affection, loneliness (I don't know... etc.), also some people are just free-spirited and live life as it comes, meaning that if they fell for a girl or a guy it's okay... they just live their lifes and are happy with it. Talking about this, I was actually surprised myself in a way when my friend told me that he was dating straight guys... I was thinking in my mind how could that be possible (not that I didn't know other men having affairs with men before... but those guys for me were just perverts you know, they would sleep with an animal if it was possible... just perverts in general), but these guys are regular and normal men. Life is so complex, don't you think? Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts, words etc... it was very interesting to talk about this!

^It's very complex. Seriously, I think it's possible for all of us to fall in love with someone of the same sex, that's what makes me wonder so much why we don't. I mean, why people ARE straight or gay, cause even if I think we all have bisexual tendencies and shouldn't be afraid to pursue them if the right person came along, why do you fall in love with someone of the opposite sex 99 % of the time (or something, these are, of course, not REAL statistics) or the same sex 99 % of the time if you're gay? It's odd.
