yeah i read some of it. i read that bit and it was so sad cos like you said ennis only wanted jack but he was afraid. imagine all the people that really happens to! it makes me sad!

If you go to the website, it has this section called "share your story" and you can read all of these stories from thousands of people who had their own Brokeback Mountain. A few made me cry. It's just so sad that cultural "norms" tell people who they can and cannot love, and that so many people don't get to realize their love because of that.

The ONLY movie that has wrenched me hard from the gut and won't fucking let me stop thinking about it. It's almost tormenting me.

And then I read the short story and that just shattered me.

I'm a changed girlie. ;E~

i read those stories. some are so sad and some are sweet like the one about a guy who met his partner when they were 20, now he's 43 and they have a ranch together. i thought that was so sweet.

Yaaaaay!! two things. One, I love it when other people feel the same way about things as I do...namely Brokeback Mountain. And Two, I just got about 20 ppl from school to all go see the movie w/ me (3rd time 4 me) and everyone loved it and is telling THEIR friends about it.... ahhhh. Happiness.

When I first went to see this movie I was wishing that it would do the story justice. But that was the least of my worries. This being Los Angeles, I was also hoping that the crowd would be respectfull and not get crazy and act a'fool! ( )... thank god I was worried for nothing. The crowd was amazing and everyone was very much into the story... I came out of the theatre with blood-shot eyes wiping away. I still cant believe that it got to me that much... I mean, i've never cried at the movies because of the fear that someone would look at me and think im a weirdo, but i couldnt care less about it this time. It's been about 2 months and ive seen this 7 times... Im still thinking about it... It just wont let me be! dammit!

What really upset me was that Ennis & Jack never said "I love you" I just wish that they did. I was reading the short story for the first time about a month ago and I was like common say I love you SAY I LOVE YOU!! and it never happened

Matt

I am listening to a tribute to bbm on my myspace and it has clips of things that Ennis and Jack says during the movie and its so sad you all should check it out.

I had the same wondering/feeling like you when I was watching the movie. I was watching the movie and seek for the scene they say "i <3 u". I wish they'd said it. That would be just touching enough to drop tears. Well it might sounds like old school stuff, but it just expresses how they really feel about each other.

++ After watching the movie...It makes me feel like..guys' love is violent. Like when they kiss each other. It always look like they are wreslting.

btw can anyone explain how Jack die in the movie X_X I missed it.. omg... I knew he was dead but I didn't hear what his wife said

Kekeland. Saying "I love you" is not in the nature of our poor uneducated lonely Ennis. but he did say it in his own special way. If you read the story and see the film to the end. That last line he mumbles as he cries is his way of saying it. We finally realized he really did Love Jack when he swore, but it was a little too late for our poor little cowboy.

Exactly the same reaction. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for four days. Not once. I've seen it 3 times in those four days and I'm going again tomorrow.
