When Ally met Jake

October 30th, 2005
New York City: Jarhead Premiere
  
I arrived at the Ziegfeld Theater at about 5:00 PM. The people were just about finished setting up the red carpet and putting up the posters. I went to the premiere with my dad and my best friend Annie. As we got there I saw a group of girls standing by the barricades and this one girl was staring at me and she said "Hey are you Ally from IHeartJake.Com?!" and it turned out to be our beloved Denissa from the IHJ Community! She said she was there since 2:30 PM that day! There was a couple of other people there too like some paparazzi and camera crews but not alot of fans. The premiere itself was small and there was only one section for the fans. Thank god I got there early because they ended up closing off the barricade section and the people who were in it were lucky enough to stay there. We were located right behind the press line where the interviews took place so we could watch Jake and the other celebrities doing their interviews. It was an awesome spot. More fans and paparazzi started to arrive once it got dark and thats when I knew the premiere was going to start. While we were standing I talked to this man who was I guess a security person and asked him if he could get Jake to come over to the fans once he arrives. I told him about the site and how I'm such a big fan. Denissa and her friends also made friends with some of the security people too so we had a good chance they would help us out. Once the limos and SUV's started pulling up my anticipation grew. The first person I recognized was Anthony Swofford himself! I was screaming "ANTHONY YOU'RE AWESOME!" but he was too far away. I took pics of him doing some interviews. After him a cool actor Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow) arrived and I took some pics of him too.
 
I was so excited and pumped to see more celebs and while the limos passed us my friend and I held up our magazines hoping that maybe Jake would see us. Sure enough a limo pulled up and there was a mob of people in front of me so I couldn't see. I wasn't really paying attention but then all of sudden I just hear this long, loud "JAKE!!!!!" from the crowd. I litterly gasped and was in total shock. I still couldn't see him but I was screaming "JAKE!!!!!" then someone yells "OMG HE'S COMING OVER!!!" and thats when I saw him (btw Jake was the ONLY person to come over and sign autographs for the fans!) I was just in disbelief and I can't even describe my feeling. I actually had to say out loud "OMG HE'S SO GORGEOUS!" because well... he is  . Anyways He was working his way down the line and I was pretty close. Then this random blonde lady took my magazine out of my hands and shoved it in Jake's face. He of coarse signed it and then she took my Donnie Darko picture and shoved it in face again. The lady was like "Can I have this?" while pointing to my signed Premiere Magazine and I was like "ummm nooo" LOL Anyways while I'm saying this to the lady Jake goes past me to my friend Annie. I got scared that I wouldn't be able to talk to him so I touch his arm and said to him "Jake! Have you ever been to fansite called IHeartJake.Com?!" Jake stopped signing the autograph looked up at me and his eyes widened and he said "Yeah!" and nodded. My heart litterly skipped a beat and I blurted out "I'M THE GIRL WHO OWNS IT!" and then he smiled and said something along the lines of "OMG REALLY!" He came over to me and I asked him for a hug. With that he put his arm around me and I guess he could tell I was shaking with nerves so he started rubbing my back and he said "awwwww!" My dad took a cute picture of us together and when we seperated I wanted to tell him so much. I knew I couldn't so the only thing I could say was "Jake, I'm so proud of you!" I said it like 5 times because that basically summed up what I felt at that moment. He is an AMAZING actor with rare talent and I just wanted to let him know that. He said "Awww thank you so much!" while smiling and I nearly died. When he continued to sign autographs and take pics I just stood there saying "OMG I JUST MET JAKE GYLLENHAAL!" I ran over to Denissa who just met him too and she was crying! We were both in disbelief and we screamed again "OMG WE JUST MET JAKE!" When he finished talking with the fans and such he had to go back to the red carpet. As he passed us Denissa and I screamed out "IHEARTJAKE.COM!!!!!!!" Jake turned around smiled, nodded and pointed both fingers at us! Denissa and I were going CRAZY after he did that.
  
I just love that picture^! Look at his huge smile  I will never forget it.
When he got to the red carpet he did his thing. Taking amazing pics for the paprazzi and then going on to do the interivews. Well the fun didn't end there! As I said before we were right behind the press line so Jake was facing his fans. I have no idea how he could keep a straight face because we yelled some pretty funny stuff. I just watched him while he had the interview with E! News and I laughed at what he said because hey our Jakey's a pretty funny guy. I have tons of pics of him while doing these interviews thanks to my dad. I was over by Denissa and we were cheering for Jake. We screamed stuff like "JAKE WE LOVE YOU!!!!", "YOU SMELL GOOD!" , "DONNIE DARKO!!!!!!!", "YOU'RE GORGEOUS!", "IHEARTJAKE.COM!", "JAKE YOU'RE AWESOME!!!" etc. He didn't even flinch when we were screaming and that showed how professional he was. All the fans kept on screaming and then I said to myself.. "hmm I wonder where Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie are..." I turned around and there was Peter in the middle of an interview! I was in shock! I didn't even know he arrived. Denissa screamed out "PETER! WHERE'S MAGGIE?!" and to our astonishment he looked at us and said "Oh she's filming!" I couldn't believe that he spoke to us let alone heard us. Thats when I knew Jake obvisouly heard what we were screaming LOL. So then I said to Peter "PETER YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!!" and he said "awww thanks!" and I told him to go to his fansite Peter-Sarsgaard.Net! I said "Its the best fansite..... for you!" He laughed and said "Okay!" Then I was like "TELL JAKE TO GO TO IHEARTJAKE.COM!" I don't know why I said it but I did and then Peter laughed again, looked at Jake (who was in an interview next to him) and was like "Okay I will!" I was so happy that I had a convo with Peter Sarsgaard so I was like "THANKS PETER!!!" He laughed again and then said "Wow... who doesn't heart Jake!" OMG I was dying it was so funny! The interview lady even laughed! Denissa, her friends, me, my friend Annie and some other gyllenhaalics became Jake's groupies and continued screaming and cheering for him. We didn't even care when Jamie Foxx arrived even though the paparazzi did. People actually started to sing "Gold Digger" and he gave us the "sup?" nod LOL.

Anyways because we were screaming so much for Jake the lady from VH1 came up to us and was like "Can you guys pretend like you saw Jake and scream for us?!" We were like SURE!!! So then they turned the camera on and we started screaming "JAKE WE LOVE YOU!" and other stuff like that. Then the guy from New York 1 asked us to scream after he signed off from the premiere so we were like OKAY SURE! So he said something stupid like "from battle fields of Jarhead this is blah blah signing off from New York 1" and then we cheered!" Fun stuff! We were actually shown on the October 31st episode of "Inside Edition" screaming after the lady said something along the lines of "..jake got ripped for this movie, making the girls go wild.." and then us screaming "JAKE WE LOVE YOU!" And then Jake looking over at us and smiling (thanks to Caitlin for that info!) I can't believe that we got to be on TV but hey we were Jake's loudest groupies after all! Denissa and I knew that Jake could hear us so we both screamed "JAKE YOU'RE GONNA WIN AN OSCAR!" He was in the middle of an interview but then stopped turned and looked at us and smiled while giving the thumbs up! We couldn't believe that he did that we were so happy! We then saw Jake's dad and mom on the red carpet and we were screaming "MR.GYLLENHAAL!!!" He had out a camera and he was shooting it towards us. We had no idea what was going on until he turned around and we noticed that he was taking a video!!! It was so crazy because that's Jake's dad taking HOME MOVIES AND WE WERE ON IT! So when he panned back over to us WE SCREAMED like no other. It was SO FUNNY! I bet you Jake would get a kick out of it if he saw it! I'm still in shock that I met Jake and I'm so glad that he came over to meet his fans. He really does care about us and just seeing him on the red carpet and the way he handles himself makes me love him even more. This is a day that I will never forget and to all the people I met there just made it so much more special. It's really crazy to know that Jake knows about IHJ but in a way I'm relieved because he can see how many people really do support and love him for what he does. Thank you guys for all your support because without you gyllenhaalics IHJ would be nothing! I heart you all <3 xo aLLy xo

omgosh ally i couldn't have said any other way..that was a great summary..i just love how he's so good to his fans and i can't believe you got a hug from him..[btw i remembered screaming JAKEE while it was not silent but while no one was screaming yet..couldve been me] i wish i had done that and the pic with you and him is just amazing..both have big smiles ..man i wish my camera wasnt on close up..im happy never the less that we even had that oppurtunity...i'm sure there will be more too...man i'm still in disbelief..and i gorgot we took that last picture..i love them all..i'll be sure to send u my others in the next couple of days or week

you lucky girls, haha! ally those pics that are on IHJ are amazing, so many of them!!! That was super sweet of your dad to take those great pics and omg, your pic with Jake is too cute, his smile is soooo adorable  btw, that pic of you telling jake about IHJ is awesome, looks how happy he looks, lol.

That is totally amazing Ally!!! OMG!! I am so glad to hear that Jake really cares about his fans! It's nice to just know that. I bet it was freakin' great!!! BTW that is an awesome picture of you and Jake!

Wow Ally! You're so lucky! Not only did you get to meet Jake but you were also on tv! haha, that's a few seconds from your fifteen minutes of fame...anyways you totally deserve everything you got (except that stupid blonde lady stealing your stuff, that wasn't cool) and I hope you get more opportunities like this in the future (but bring me next time! lol jk)
