I agree. It's much better for the movie. Of course we're disappointed that we won't see Jake at a premiere somewhere. We're eager to see his lovely face. But he needs to focus on PoP now. All we can do is to be very patient.

Well, it is better that the movie is coming out next year because they can't promote it without Jake, and also because there's a lot of heavy competition this year.

I'm just sad I won't get to see him.

This is a really interesting blog/site. All the comments are intelligent and articulate, despite some nasty exchanges by a few of the regulars. The information seems authentic--superior to most movie sources on the Web.

I'm feeling really enthusiastic about Brothers now, and though it seems like forever to wait--but not as long as for PoP --I'm glad that this film will get serious treatment when they finally roll it out. Cannes is a major deal, and it will be wonderful to see Jake in PR action too.

Damn. Those are some nasty Tobey fans. Geesh. Over here, we were all excited about Tobey and Jake working together, but over there it's a different story completely. Alright well if that's how they want to be, let the Tobey bashing begin!

Hahah a I laughed my @$$ off when I read that. i like tobey ok, he was good in seabiscut, but Jake can just rip your heart strings out and make you laugh and cry, yunno? And he has the most intense eyes and screen-charisma that toby doesn't really have in my opion.

Jim Sheridan mentions "Brothers" in an interview:

http://www.herald.ie/entertainment/around-town/my-left-foot-director-sheridan-hits-out-at-arrogant-movie-financiers-1575173.html

"A remake of Susanne Bier's acclaimed Danish flick Brothers, it tells the story of a man, played by Maguire, who is sent to fight in Afghanistan while his black-sheep brother (Gyllenhaal) cares for his wife and child. It co-stars big names including Natalie Portman and Sam Shepard.

Sheridan continued: "We were in Santa Fey in New Mexico filming it for more than five months and we had a fabulous time.

"It's a great town and was good fun to make. I think that we're going to release that in August of next year."

I hope they will show it in Cannes and Toronto or Venice and I would prefer a release date early fall.

Well im confused about brothers, because, i thought Jake grew his beard because he was playing a part in prison
But it says that Tobey Maguire is sent to afganastan, not jake.
And also i read in an interview that Jake put a picture of Heath Ledger on the wall of his prison cell as a joke(sweet i know)

oh im confused!
