Yeah, he looked kind of tired. It was so funny when he makes the face after the Interviewer asks about him & Tobey McGuire!

There's a ton of interviews at this site:

There are interview vids with Jake, two with Tobey and one with Natalie, plus the other actors, Jim Sheridan, writer David Benioff, etc.

There's also some behind the scenes footage - though warning, spoilers lurk there.

oops I saw the spoiler stuff although I don't want it ... ehmm anyway who cares..

I love Jakes slightly crooked lips when he speaks and smiles ...but what about the yellow strap? It looks little weird!

THAT face was freakin me out!

But after watching the interview over and over again i changed my mind: he is really not bored, he is tired.

And i noticed that he looks a little thin. (In contrast to the trailer addict clip)

Yellow strap -

I believe this is the "Live Strong" cancer support bracelet that he began wearing from his friendship with Lance Armstrong and to support Lance's "Live Strong" foundation. Anyone else?

Yes, that's it. Jake got it a few years ago, when he and LA were hanging out, and even went to the Tour de France together. Jake goes through phases of wearing and not wearing the bracelet, and it's been seen a lot lately.

From the awards categories seen here, Tobey Maguire is the star of Brothers and Jake and Natalie are the supporting players. I find that strange, given what I've read about the story. But when two men play opposite each other in a film, both of them are unlikely to be nominated in the same category. This happened in BBM: Heath was up for Best Actor, Jake for Best Supporting Actor, even though the story was about both of them. In Brothers, it's about three people.

I await the day when Jake will be the star of a major film and thus a contender as best actor for all these big awards.

No I think BBM was a story about ennis life and the one love he had. Thatīs why Heath was the main character. (Did you read the book?)

So i think itīs right that Jake was titled as the supporting actor even though he had one of the biggest parts in the movie.

(Sorry, i know this is the wrong thread, back to topic)

No matter what the Academy Awards showed, Heath & Jake both deserved the Oscar that night for BBM. NO ONE will ever be able to top their performances.

I do, however, think that Jake seems like the main actor & not Tobey. Guess we'll find out next wk.!!

When I think about the story and the probable message, it makes sense to me that Tobey plays the main character in this movie!

I was just watching the new british trailer for brothers and found it great! The american trailer is more dramatic and loud. But this one is so much better.

I loved to see Jake in the white t-shirt. Like the one he wore at the vanity fair photoshoot.

"However, Jake Gyllenhaal arguably has the toughest role of the bunch having to believably shift from a good-for-nothing ex-con to a reliable family man. But not only does Gyllenhaal do it, but he knocks it out of the park. In the early stasges of the film, his charming asshole routine is largely lived through his dancing eyes and a perma-smirk etched onto his stubbled face. But when Sam is declared dead, the eyes and smirk are still there but become softer and his attitude, though still somewhat immature, is slowly shaded by the weight of responsibility. It's a great performace."

It's curious: so far there seems to be a widely different response among critics and viewers to this film and the performances. Some love both, others hate/dismiss both. Guess it shows how we all, no matter who we are, bring own particular prejudices and expectations to the viewing of a film.

I can't wait--only 5 more days till I see Brothers. A new Jake performance! YES!!!!!
