The first Jake sightings - found them at the Gyllenbabble blog

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1137470/board/flat/100400321?p=2

"they're starting to film at the state house this week and jake gyllenhaal was at the strom gym the other day and some of my sorority sister got to meet him but he wanted to lay low so they didn't get a picture with him but he said that could be sketchy and take one of him. "

This one is very funny:

Thanks to UV!

And "Nailed" is already causing some trouble:

It looks like we should not expect a traditional Romom.....

Someone from South Carolina by the name of Vikki put under Comments on the front page of IHJ that her 8 year old son got picked as an extra for the movie and that his part - where Jake is holding him - has been filmed.

There are problems with financing for Nailed. I hope they work everything out so no more time is wasted for anyone. I think this could be a good/fun movie so I hope they get to complete it.

Quote:
EXCLUSIVE: I'm told by knowledgeable sources that David O. Russell's indie pic Nailed may have been put on hold yesterday. It's a risque political comedy starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel who sources say are standing by to see if the movie can continue to completion. The script co-written by Al Gore's daughter Kristen (once a staff writer on Futurama) and Russell began filming April 15th. Details are sketchy, but I've gleaned that the pic's predicament is related to its financing, not to its helmer Russell. True, the temperamental director is known for turbulent shoots especially when it comes to actors. Already on Nailed, Jimmy Caan quit the South Carolina set two weeks ago after he and the helmer couldn't agree on the best way for the actor to choke to death on a cookie during a scene. (Caan’s role of U.S. Speaker Of the House was being recast before this new problem.) Russell also had well-documented differences with George Clooney (the two came to blows on the set of Three Kings) and Lily Tomlin (profane exchanges on the set of I Heart Huckabees... See my previous Lily 'Liberated' By F-Bomb/C-Word Video). But now the pic's woes go way beyond just a tense set. There are a lot of rumors circulating, and I'm trying to separate what's fact and what's fiction. The film focuses on a naive small town waitress (Biel) who gets a nail lodged in her head and discovers a new-found sexual drive. When she travels to Washington to fight for better health care for the "bizarrely injured", she meets an unscrupulous U.S. congressman (Gyllenhaal) who attempts to take advantage of her. The movie also stars James Marsden, Catherine Keener and Tracy Morgan. Those are a lot of name actors to be sidelined. One source with insider knowledge about the production tells me, "The actors are waiting to see if the movie will continue. It's kind of amazing, really."

To be clear, there is no fighting on the set. This just has to do with low funds to work on the film at the moment. I hope they work it out.

David O. Russell must be cursed or something. Drama and trouble always follows him to every film he works on.

She seemed worried.

I feel sad for all of the actors.

A comment from Melissa on the Fitsnews site:

"The movie was only shut down for the day and it was on Friday (we had extras at the State House on Friday)…i hear they are back to filming starting possibly Monday and definitely Tuesday. I work in the State House and they have filmed a lot there and will be back Monday or Tuesday we are told. and yes, I have seen this girl there lots and she is actually 1000 times prettier than these pictures show."

Who's Jason Rocks?

fanny, that's a good thing it was only shut down for a short while. It can become very problematic to shut down a film set because so many people are involved and they have to get on a set schedule. I hope everything can run smoothly from here on out.

Haha, that's ok. I thought you meant me, but just wanted to make sure.

Actually my screen name stands for "John Slattery Rocks!"

He is my absolute favorite actor and I've followed his career for years. So I just shorten that to "JSrocks".

As for the problems the film is facing now...

Jessica and Jake have been ordered by the Screen Actors Guild to walk off the set.

Quote:
Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel have been ordered by the Screen Actor’s Guild to walk off the set off their new movie, directed by the cantankerous David O. Russell, because of financing issues. Production is only half-way completed. It remains uncertain if/when filming will resume.

David O. Russell’s indie political comedy Nailed which began filming in April was shut down by the Screen Actors Guild on Friday because of insufficient funds on deposit with the guild. Weve also learned the Columbia, S.C. shoot is in trouble with both IATSE and Teamsters, and some of those union members have left the beleaguered $25 million budgeted production. Rumors are also circulating that the state of South Carolina could withdraw its incentive monies because of the financing problems. Filmmakers hope to resolve the cash crunch and re-start shooting next week since principal photography is only at the halfway point. “I am confident we will finish,” an insider on the pic just told me. “The financing on this like most indies is based on bank loans and bridge loans. This is a matter of waiting on the bridge loan. Hopefully, it will all be resolved.” David Bergstein’s Capitol Films is behind the pic. In 2006, he acquired the UK-based international sales company which over the years has built a good reputation and made a wide range of commercial and critical successes, including Robert Altman’s Gosford Park.

The filmmakers were able to get in a full day of shooting Thursday until SAG put its figurative foot down to protect its members during traditionally more dicey independent productions. We have been told co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel and the other name actors are all standing by to see if the movie can continue to completion. Some left the location for the weekend to spend Mothers Day with their families. Sources say James Brolin, who replaced Jimmy Caan in the movie after the veteran actor got into a creative battle with Russell and quit, flew in early in the week and completed all his scenes befor the movie was shut down. An insider confirms for me: “It’s been touch and go the entire time. The financiers are doing the best they can. There’s been a cash crunch, that’s for sure. It’s a drag, but they’ll muddle through. Everyone seems happy and committed to the movie and hopefully all this stuff will get worked out.”

http://www.yourmoviestuff.com/movie-news/jake-gyllenhaal-and-jessica-biel-ordered-to-walk-off-nailed-set/

I'm sure everything will work out and they'll be able to finish the film, it's just unfortunate that they have some road blocks to face now.
