I'm a little surprised, as I haven't seen a Poster for Brothers at the Theater yet; although I have seen the Preview. It looks AWESOME!

Or not There seems to be some confusion on the 3D front. Disney is now denying it. Maybe they'll surprise us.

Not sure where or how they got it, but someone snapped a photo of Jake's action figure:

There is also a link to some mega-size versions of the PoP poster and photos.

Love the video. Thanks, UltraV. It has footage in it that I've never seen, and it's a major treat to see and hear so much of Jake commenting on his roles, what he values as an actor, etc. It was funny how he discovered he didn't like being an "extra" on Zodiac. Maybe from that experience he's developed a deeper appreciation of what life as an extra is all about.

One point: the narrator in the video says Jake was 19 when he made October Sky. This doesn't work, because the film was released in February 1999, and most likely they wrapped the year before, or were in the final stages of production in early 98. So Jake would have been barely 17, probably still 16 when he was cast and/or production started. (Since he was in high school himself at that point, I wonder when the film was actually shot. It could have been in the summer, when he wasn't in school. Summer of 97, he's 16; summer of 98, he's 17.)

The matter of his age when he made the movie is significant to me, because he seems so young and boyish yet his acting is so polished and mature for someone that age. He played a high school boy in Donnie Darko too, but that was more than a year later (summer of 99? summer of 2000?), and he was more grown-up, more developed. Of course, the characters are totally different; Donnie is a troubled guy, but also more sophisticated, more knowing, than Homer.

Guess I'm a bigger fan of October Sky than Donnie Darko, but BBM will always be the best!

There has been a lot of PoP news, most importantly an early review of the movie. You can find it at Ain't It Cool.

People also has a picture of Jake's Lego figure.

UltraV, thanks for posting the review. The reviewer seems to have mixed feelings, but I'm glad that 30 out of 35 in the audience enjoyed it.

Some behind the scenes info and interviews - albeit in French - from a site called DVD Drama. I translated some of it here:

http://gyllenbabble.blogspot.com/2009/09/prince-de-perse-dans-les-coulisses.html

Here are the originals:

Part 1: http://www.dvdrama.com/news-35626-prince-of-persia-exclusivite-mondiale-.php

Part 2: http://www.dvdrama.com/news-35648-prince-of-persia-exclu-mondiale-part-2-.php

If there's a fluent French speaker out there willing to translate some or just the interesting parts, I'm sure we'd all love a better translation.

Thanks so much for the translation, UltraV. It works very well for me. Good job. I especially liked the comment in the article about Jake's kindness. Not the first time an interviewer has remarked on his graciousness. What a wonderful quality it is.

Glad you enjoyed it, Evie. I have the whole article, if you or anyone else wants it. Again, not the best translation, but you can get the gist.

I liked the part about his kindness, as well. Always nice to read. And the stories from Pittsburgh reinforce that perception.
