I think the movie will do really well. Some people (like you all ) will rush out to see it when it's released, but I think the majority of people might trickle in to see it over time while it's in theaters. That's what I'm doing because I haven't had time to see it yet. I'd like to see it sometime this week, so hopefully I can tomorrow. Once I see it, I'm going to spread the word on my Twitter or Facebook and tell people to go see it. I think word of mouth will help make this film more popular for those who are unsure of if it will be good or not.

Honestly, I'm so tired of people who haven't seen it who put the film down and speak negatively about it. No one here is like that, because we're all Jake fans, but it's all over the internet any time PoP is mentioned, especially on IMDb. And there are people who have seen it and are still negative just because they're forgotten that movies are made in the first place so viewers can just go and relax and have fun. Movies were never made for so much hype and negative talk. It's just fun and I know Jake worked really hard and it's something he's never done before, so I'm excited to see it.

I know he has all the support here from everyone, so we have to help spread the word to people who might not want to see it at first. There is a guy who runs an entertainment celebrity blog and he's from the US and lives in Los Angeles. He said in his post that he liked the movie, but Jake's British accent was "RIDICULOUS." I commented that I find it funny how AMERICANS can judge how well anyone does on a BRITISH ACCENT! I mean really! He's not British, so I don't think he has any room to judge. I think if there are British people who think Jake did a good job, then I'll believe them over that blogger.

I'll let you all know what I thought about the film after I see it.

I agree with everything you say JSRocks!!

And by the way, im British and apart from the first ten minutes (i had to adjust) Jakes accent was perfect! I know it was good because i didn't even notice he was doing it.

I think that might be the problem why some Americans are saying it sounds bad. Not like they have any idea what does or what doesn't, but since Jake's an American everyone is used to hearing him speak with an American accent. Sure it's going to take a little getting used to hearing an American with a British accent. I say if there are a good number of British people, especially in the cast, who say he does a good job, then that's who I believe.

And I just looked on the blog again to read more comments because most of the commenters are supporting the movie and not agreeing with the blogger. That guy seems nice, but he's really negative a lot of the time for this movie. As soon as Jake was attached to the movie to film it, he said it would fail. But I don't know why he wouldn't give it a chance because he thinks Jake is hot and he says he's a fan.

This comment from him annoyed me because I don't agree, and I don't think Gemma was lying. I probably won't visit this guy's blog anymore because he's a bit of a sellout. All he does it regurgitate information on his blog that people already posted elsewhere. He never has any new information and yet he gets to make money off of his blog. It's Pink Is The New Blog. Trent was cool when his blog first started, but all he cares about now is getting free stuff and making money off his blog and boasting about all the trips he takes. I've been done reading his blog for a while, but I wanted to see if he actually did enjoy PoP. Honestly I still can't tell by his description. Here's his stupid response to one person defending Jake.

JSrocks don't let it get you down! There are always people on the internet like him. I think the worst part is that he pretends to be a fan and then he goofs on him. I cant judge Jakes accent because i come from Germany. But it was really weird to hear him talking British - he sounds so strange like a totally different person!

Thats why i like it here so much. Everybody is friendly and wants the best for Jake.

So don't bother about it!

Many people who review movies--or who think they can--believe their mission is to find the flaws in the work. It's as if they were saying to the actors and filmmakers, "You think you can fool me, but you can't. I can see your tricks, and they don't work." It's a game based entirely on personal taste.

By this time in my moviegoing career, however, I realize that all reviews, even from the best critics, come down to personal taste, influenced by the mood the reviewer happens to be in when seeing the film. I've read a lot of the American reviews for PoP, and it's ridiculous how totally opposite these critics are on the same topic. For example, some think Gemma Arterton saved the movie, others think she was a dud. Some approved Jake's accent, others thought it was phony. (I personally thought it was very authentic.)

Who to believe? I say see it and judge for yourself. Don't get sidetracked by the critics and bloggers who are more interested in showing themselves off than in evaluating the film.

i LOVE the game prince of persia... today i saw the film, but it really disappointed me. i wondered why i left the cinema without being touched by this 200 million dollar blockbuster but i can't get an answer. the story wasn't very good i think. it's a 4/10 for me.

but jake, he was incredible. what a great performance! i loved him being dastan, i really loved him! 10/10 points in my opinion.

it makes me miserable that pop is a (relative) box office flop.

Production Budget: $200 million

Total Lifetime Grosses:
Domestic (USA): $61,152,496
+ Foreign: $156,400,000
= Worldwide: $217,552,496

In Release: 11 days / 1.6 weeks

i bet there will be no trilogy as it was planned. this movie could have been really a rocket for jake's career, but this dream is gone... am i too negative? sorry for that. and like always sorry for my english

regards, g.
