Whoa! I think Heath was the best actor in the business & think Depp is brilliant. Do you think it might make a difference because you have to watch them dubbed or sub-titled? Or I assume you do, anyway.

That might be the reason. In Germany they recommended to see the orginial movie not dubbed to feel the atmosphere and i agree. Ennis language is Heath´s biggest performance in BBM. I could never imagine to see Ennis del Mar with a strange voice.

I've seen so far several movie with Ledger, and i din't get him, his way of acting dind't impress me much, not as Gyllenhaal way of acting, that touchy me deeply,
also ive ssen BBM in theatre when was out, my daddy bring me to seen, then i've seen also in original langauge, and with subtitle, and no way, i din't find his performance so outstanding. Also i din't get his character, too much hermetic.
I saw almost his movie, unless Parnassus, and no way i could appreciate him as actor, sorry.
About Deep i follow him since the early days, 21 jump street, and never impress me much, honestly.

I'm glad you get to see them in English. Besides Jake, who are some of your fav actors & what are some of your fav movies?

I love anything by Nicholas Sparks.

I'm more than half-way through "Safe Haven" by Nicholas Sparks. I've read them all...some I buy, some I get at the Library.

I don't think there will be a sequel to POP, as it didn't seem to do well; not in the US, at least. It was good, but a little disappointing w/ the ticket sales.

I think SLAOD will be a huge hit after seeing the previews!

Really atalley, i didn't know nothing about the ticket issue in USA...
The sequel could be good, but just if the first movie get enought interest, even if i don't bet GYllenhaal take the role for the second time....

I finally got to see POP and my views on it will not be popular even though people on this site must realise what an ardent fan I am of Jake.

I liked the look of the film definitely and it was exciting and action packed.

First thing that put me off was Jake's accent - it was neither a plain English or aristocratic accent eg In LOTR Aragorn and Gandalf's accents were aristocratic/middleclass and believablle with most of the hobbits having a more rural west country working class accent. The accents went with the story.

Jake's accent in POP was a horrible 'estuary' English ie a common accent in Thames estuary in England, quite specific to one area. Why would a Prince of Persia have this accent? It makes no sense.

The film was really a childrens' film - I suppose because its from a game.

I just wish we could see Jake in something worthy of his talents and back to the days of Donnie Darko, BBM and October Sky.

I don't even know what language they speak in Morocco, but I can see your point. I guess they figured that most of the audience wouldn't have a clue. My son-in-law went there as a Marine & said that he made friends w/ a guy who spoke English, but I doubt if that was the norm.

LOTR Trilogy are my fav movies by far. Did you know that they are starting to film The Hobbit very soon?!
