Marie, I get the feeling the PoP will be hair-free everywhere except on his head, face and private area. The first two we will see, with that sexy long hair and goatee, and the last, well...we just have to use our imaginations. LOL.

Hahahaha! Despite the terrible toothache... you made me laugh.
Thanks Evie!!!

Sorry if someone posted some of the following information before.
It never hurts to know as much as possible about this production though.

Mike Newell interview about the movie:
http://www.reelzchannel.com/video/29217/prince-of-persia-movie-update
Listen carefully to what he says, coz he's talking about the story as an adventure and also love story.
Wow! I look forward to see Jakey in it.

Thanks for all that info, Sheilah!
I didn't know they had been working on this movie for so long.. I am definitely excited for this movie. I think the movie will do well, and of course Jake will look great, too!

Lmao. There really needs to be a laugh smiley here, because this would be the perfect time to use it! When it comes to Jake, I'm always using my imagination

Short interview with Jerry Bruckheimer:

http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=0&id=57912

"Bruckheimer shared his excitement for making a movie with Gyllenhaal, who has been on the producer's radar for a long time.

"I've always wanted to work with him," Bruckheimer said. "I've been chasing him for a while, so I finally got him, finally found something he liked."

Jordan Mechner talked about PoP at the San Diego Comic Con

http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/893/893812p1.html

"Unlike his game counterpart, the title character in the movie to be played by Jake Gyllenhaal will have a name. Mechner said that he chose the name "Dastan" for the prince because he believes its an old Persian name that means "trickster."

I couldn't tell if the article was saying that there would be no sequels, or if there will be, but that they will not follow along the lines of the Games.

The date change isn't much of an improvement. Even though it's on its fourth installment, Shrek Goes Fourth is a kid's movie and is sure to be a hit. A week later, Thor, another one of Marvel's title characters similar to Iron Man, is released. If it does anywhere near the business of Iron Man it could prove just as detrimental to The Sands of Time as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Also, depending on the tone of The Sands of Time, all three of these movies could be competing for the same demographic, which isn't particularly a good thing. Still, I guess it's good they don't have to rush to meet a release date and can spend more time on the movie to make it the best it can be.
