I'm pretty sure Stephanie will surprise us soon with the original Jake-on-set photographs that showed up recently. (Just Jared)

But in the meantime, you can look at these:

I don't know if you saw all the negative comments concerning Jake's hair and body? There are a lot of people on other sites who think Jake's not the right choice for the role of Prince Dastan. (uh-huh.... obviously no Jake fans eh).

I hope he will be stunning... in fact I know he will.

I haven't read the comments myself, but it's sad that people at justjared can be so negative Oh well though. Usually people who post there are just pathetic trolls anyway, so I quit reading the comments a long time ago. We know Jake will be great, so who cares what they think anyway?

Marie...what's a troll? (one of the little guys in Billy Goats Gruff?) WOW! He looks so different! I like it for a change, but hope he goes back to his regular style once he's done with POP. He's huge. I'm so disappointed we have to wait for so long.

Atalley, a troll is basically a person who spends all of their time on some site or blog, who does nothing but say mean spirited, hateful things, or someone who is just downright negative all of the time, about anyone or anything. Hope that helps!

I'm glad he still has some chest hair. I was afraid it was going to be shaved off completely, so I'm glad to see it's still there. That hair drives me wild

Yes, I'm glad about the hair too, though I posted on Eye Candy that the lower half of Jake's torso looks fake. Like you, I go wild over his body hair, especially that dark line that moves like an arrow from his chest down below his belt. The sight of that is worth more to my eyes than a perfect set of (fake) abs.

As to the trolls, I'd add that their mission in life is to get people upset and crazy, to attack for the sake of attacking. There is nothing positive about them, and they are always the first ones to post on a site and trash the subject.

I'll have to say I've never heard of a troll before. Thanks for the info. I don't really care for chest hair, but, hey...it's Jake...so, who cares?

Everytime I try to type in Jake, I put Jack out of habit from being on EnnisJack.com.

I tell you what - kids are going to jump all over this movie... and bring their parents with them. I'm looking forward to owning my first Jake action figure which will sit prominently on my desk at work and one at home . I understand now why he had put on weight earlier in the year... it was so worth the wait.

I expect everyone involved in PoP to be awesome - I hope they have lots of fun too - lots of outtakes please

...... I can't get those new pictures outta my head...... help !

Haha! You're funny Sheba.

I have no new Jake pictures, alas. Only a link for the PoP film decors which they are building in Ait-Ben-Haddou (Quarzazate). This Korben guy doesn't even know who Jake is... (ignorant dumb-ass). Sorry!

Anyway... here's the link: http://www.korben.info/prince-of-persia-le-film-les-premieres-photos-du-decor.html

Some photographs look fake to me. Although, the bright Moroccan sunlight is possibly the cause of the blurry effect.

Looks like our Jakey poo could be back in the UK according to this article in todays MOS (not about Jake alas, but his co-star) it seems like they've switched production back to Pinewood Studios.

Thanks Dottie for the new info. It's insane to know he's so close and yet so far. Damn, never mind calling him the Prince of Persia - he should be the Prince of Being Elusive

Hope he gets to meet our two Princes with Gemma next month

Thanks for the info, Dottie.

With the production back in London, we should be seeing some Jake and Reese pictures soon. You can bet she'll be on a plane to catch up with her sweetie ASAP--unless she's filming too. Does anyone know?

I CAN'T WAIT for new pictures. I've been missing him SO much.

Dottie...do you live anywhere near the Pinewood Studios? Gemma has great taste in men (even if they're young enough to be our sons)!

Hi Atalley, no, not that far (as the crow flies) but I don't think there's a train station nearby, and as I don't drive. Still, it would be nice to know for definite that he actually is here, even if only for a while.

You're right about Gemma, that bloke of hers is a dish !! I watched her last night in Tess Of The D'Urbervilles, she's very good.

At a Walt Disney Showcase that the company throws for partnering agencies and media some PoP fottage was shown and here are some "reports"

It was a montage, basically, with narration of what the film was about cut together w/ interviews w/ Bruckheimer, Jake and a couple other cast members.

It showed him running around, fighting, doing some jumps, showed some very rough animatics and storyboarded together shots, some details about the villains trying to get the Dagger. A cool villain with a purple cloak whose arms turned to snakes and he thrust them into the ground. They went after somoene looking like TREMORS. Jake looked good with his painted 300 abs I'm sure. Looks promising though thus far."

http://www.empireonline.com/empireblog/post.asp?id=274

"We saw some brief clips and animatics from Mike Newell’s upcoming Prince of Persia, which looked really strong and could be the movie to break the curse of the videogame adaptation. Jake Gyllenhaal, in the title role, is really buffed up, and we saw a couple of cool but brief swordfight sequences which proved he could cut the mustard as an action hero. Gemma Arterton looked stunning, and we also saw some really interesting concept art of the bad guys, some of whom can shoot snakes at people. We also got a brief animatic look at the way Gyllenhaal's character can pause time. This looks like it could be a very nice surprise. "

And a new set picture

Thanks to "Gyllenbabble" and "WetDarkandWild" blogs for the updates!
