A History of Violence. Way way overrated IMO. One of those plot over character films where common sense gets thrown out the window to facilitate the Big Ending. Okay if you shut off your brain but it pissed me off to no end.

And I thought I was the only one in the world who hated this movie!  Everyone told me how great it was, and I was real excited to watch it, but I thought it was a complete waste of time! There were some really great actors...who really acted like crap!!! In my opinion anyways!

^It's definitely not just you. After it was over I thought, I must have watched some other movie ... this was what people had raved about, had said was one of the best films of last year? But everyone behaved so stupidly! The mobsters posturing about, the one cop a nonentity and Viggo and his family just sitting around like targets bickering with each other until he decides to Go Take Care Of Things. Give me a break! I mean I like action as much as the next person but I'd rather rewatch the LOTR films than this excuse for violence masquerading as the real world. LOL

I just finished watching The Squid and the Whale. A very moving story and a great cast, I was impressed. Anna Paquin seems to play the same role every time but that was ok. I really loved Jeff Daniels and Laura Linney in this movie, and the boys too.. they did a great job.

I just watched Superman Returns. It's pretty good, just not as brilliant as everyone was saying it was.

The Truman Show, I know it's an old movie.
But I just saw it the other day.
& it made me cry.
Not that much, but still.
It was just really sad at some points.
