Yeah, I'm headed for Inception too, on Saturday. At two and a half hours, Leo had better be worth it. (Usually he is, though he doesn't make the kind of movies I would like him to make.)

I adore Leo. He is wonderful imo, and I love almost everything I've seen him in. I think it's a shame that he wasn't even nominated for his performance in Revolutionary Road in 2008. I thought he was brilliant, and he broke my heart. And I actually love his film choices. After I see a Leo movie I'm always like man, I wish Jake would do something like that! Haha. They need to work together, like right now. And Inception looks great. Plus Joseph Gordon Levitt and Marion Cotillard are in it. Looks great.

Oh by the way, I'm working on the PM. I've got lots to say as well.

I agree. I saw that movie yesterday and i am still excited. I think the cast is very interesting: Michelle Williams was in it (BBM) and Mark Rufallo (Zodiac) and Ben Kingsley (PoP). Isn´t that a coincidence? So sorry if this was discussed before...

I was a Leomaniac before Jake, but not to the same depth as I am a Gyllenhaalic. I've seen every Leo movie except Body of Lies, most of them multiple times. I have the video of many as well. I agree--he was awesome in Revolutionary Road and should have been nominated wherever they give awards. I think that film didn't work, and upon reflection, I would say that it was because Kate Winslet was miscast. It was her project, and of course she cast herself in the female lead. I adore her, and was blown away by her performance in The Reader, but she is too strong, too steady, as a human being to have been right for the RR lead. I didn't read the book, but from the film I saw the character as basically fragile, perhaps even a bit unstable, a dreamer/idealist with little sense of reality or practicality. It was a stretch Kate didn't quite make in RR (but, now that I think of it, would have been a perfect Maggie Gyllenhaal role). But she got a Golden Globe nomination for it, didn't she? One of the worst insults ever was Leo not being nominated for Titanic.

The kind of film I wish Leo would make is a comedy or satire. I personally went crazy for him in Celebrity, a Woody Allen film from the late 90's that nobody saw or liked, but Leo was hysterical spoofing himself as a bad boy, Woody Allen style. There are snippets of this comic edge in Catch Me If You Can and This Boy's Life. I would adore to see Leo do a whole film where the trickster character dominates. Leo and Jake in a movie together? I would think I had died and gone to heaven. They are born to work together. (That said, these magical pairings don't always pan out. Terry Gilliiam put Heath Ledger and Matt Damon together in The Brothers Grimm, and that film was a misfire. I of course loved Heath and never miss a Matt Damon film either.)

Agreed: Inception seems very promising. It has Ellen Page also, and I think she's outstanding. Joseph Gordon Levitt has caught my interest too, so that's another lure.

I am such a movie freak. Looking forward to the PM.

This past weekend: Winter's Bone. It's not a feel-good movie, but superbly done. It captures a very particular people and place to perfection. The lead character is a girl of 17 with too much responsibility and no happiness in her life. You have to pay close attention to follow the story. If you are a serious student of films and film making, you will be blown away by this one.

Hahaha, well if you asked me about the Edward and Jacob in the books I wouldn't even pause to tell you TEAM EDWARD!!!! ...
But in the movies, they made Edward seem sort of awkward (at leased in the first 2 movies, the third one he was actually pretty hot lmfao! ), so I think I am a bit in-between him and Jacob... for the movies at leased.

But I will always be team Edward..

You?

Evie: Yeah, another movie freak here. I am an equal fan of Leo's/Jake's work, but I am obviously way more invested in Jake, than Leo. Leo seems like a sweet guy, and he's really smart, sexy, and talented, but Jake totally has my heart.

I think there are only two or three Leo films I haven’t seen yet. He’s super talented, and makes a great leading man. As far as KW goes in RR, I'm mixed. I liked her in the role, because she and Leo are fantastic together. And I thought she did a really good job overall, but some parts did seem...off. I can't really explain it. Toward the end of the film she was fantastic, but other scenes were too, forced, or something. Leo was perfect though. I am glad that Sean Penn won for Milk, but I wished Leo would have been nominated. He and Mickey Rourke are tied for my number two best actor that year. Winslet was great in The Reader as well, but I wished Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married) or Angelina Jolie (Changeling) would have won Best Actress instead. Kate was way overdue for an Oscar though, so it was cool. I loved her speech and obviously love/admiration for Leo.
I also think Leo is great at comedy, and should pursue it more. Both he and Jake tend to do more serious type/themed films, so it'll be interesting to watch them switch it up in the future. And I would die if they were in a film together as well. Too much hotness in one film. I think with the right movie, they'd be great together. Jake and Leo usually always have good chemistry with their co-stars as well. I thought Matt Damon and Heath worked very well together in TBG, and were funny together, but I wasn't too fond over the film itself.

I forgot to mention Ellen Page, she's great too. The reviews, previews, cast, and director are all great, so I am really looking forward to Inception this weekend. And JGL is adorable, isn’t he? Especially in 500 Days of Summer. Have you seen it?

Elly: Yes, Shutter Island is an amazing film. I love it more and more every time I watch it. All were great, especially Leo, Mark, Michelle, and Ben. And yes, he worked with Mark, Michelle, and Ben, so now it's time to do a film with Leo! And Emily Mortimer who is also in Shutter Island, was in Lovely and Amazing, although they didn't share any scenes. John Carroll Lynch is in Shutter Island too, and they've been in three films together. Oh and here’s one more connection I just thought of. Elias Koteas is in Shutter Island as Laeddis, and he played in Zodiac as well. Cool, huh?

CloverBea: Haha. I actually like both a lot. I'd go with team Jacob though, just because I like looking at Taylor Lautner without his shirt on. Lol.

Hahahaha totally agree with you on that one!!!
They actually had to draw on fake abs for Robert Pattinson, for the scene when he takes off his shirt in New moon.. That's why you didn't see him shirtless from the side point of view (unless someone was blocking his stomach area..)

Lol!

You mean the guy who WAS the Zodiac? If i got that right... Yeah, that´s really cool! Four actors in that movie who are somehow related to Jakey! I wouldn´t be surprised if there are others... Anyways great movie but i watched it once and that was enough. It´s a little bit too creepy for my bad nerves.
