I'm catching up on older movies on DVD and also the tail end of Jake's films, so I've watched Highway and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Highway is not a fave Jake film, but again, he gives it his all, and I really enjoyed seeing him at a younger age. For some unexplainable reason, it turns me on in the very beginning, when he leaps over the fence at the start and end of the car sequence. His physique is still boyish and not filled out, skinny, but oh so hot. Why is that? Also loved him with the spider on his face!!

Eternal Sunshine went right over my head, though it's brilliant in its own weird way. Surrealistic movies don't get to me. However, I have always loved Jim Carrey as a serious actor--much better than as a goofball comedian. Liked him here very much. And of course there was Kirsten, jumping around in her underwear. It's unreasonable and stupid, but I got so jealous of her, knowing she had been close (REALLY close) to Jake, that she had had his arms around her, that he had loved her.

In the theater I saw The Devil Wears Prada. Meryl Streep was fantastic, but the movie was a letdown. Anne Hathaway was gorgeous, of course, but I wanted more from her actingwise.
